Astana to Become the Epicenter of Industrial Deal-Making as Global Heavy Industry Leaders Gather at IEC EXPO
ASTANA. From 5 to 7 May, the IEC EXPO venue in Astana will host two major international industrial events: Comtrux Astana and Eurasian Construction Technology Astana (ECT).
The upcoming exhibition season reflects unprecedented interest from international capital in Kazakhstan’s market: more than 130 companies have already confirmed their participation. A major highlight will be the launch of the Comtrux Astana brand.
Kazakhstan will become the first country in the world to host this international project dedicated to commercial transport and logistics under the license from Messe Frankfurt.
A special feature of the exhibitions will be two national pavilions of manufacturers from the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People’s Republic of China, further strengthening their international profile. Held alongside ECT Astana, the exhibition of construction machinery and technologies, these events will provide businesses with end-to-end solutions — from the procurement of heavy dump trucks to the implementation of digital fleet management systems.
In today’s environment, exhibitions in Astana have evolved far beyond a simple display of machinery and equipment, becoming an instrument of the fast economy. They offer a unique networking space where companies can move from an initial contact to a signed contract in just a few days — a process that would normally take months.
The direct presence of manufacturing companies enables Kazakhstani entrepreneurs to assess suppliers and compare prices without the need for costly overseas business trips.
The business programme is focused on addressing the sector’s systemic barriers. Together with relevant ministries and industry associations, participants will discuss ways to expand access to preferential leasing for fleet renewal and tackle labour shortages. Taking part in these discussions gives businesses an opportunity to directly influence regulatory decisions before they are formally adopted.
The events are organised by Business Media Central Asia (BMCA), the official representative of Messe Frankfurt in Central Asia.
In June 2026, Astana is also scheduled to host the 10th anniversary edition of Automechanika Astana, the region’s largest event for the automotive aftermarket. The exhibition will showcase innovations in spare parts and service equipment, rounding out the calendar of the year’s key industrial events.
