Glovo is a Spanish startup that delivers meals, groceries, non—food items within an hour from restaurants, cafes, shops, markets and online stores. The service was founded in 2015 in Barcelona. It stands out from a number of major European delivery services in that it offers to bring any small item on demand. For example, pick up dry cleaning or bring forgotten keys.
The order can be made in the app and on the website. The Glovo platform connects three parties: the user, the business (shops, restaurants, etc.) and Glovers — independent couriers. The application takes a commission from the cost of the goods from partners and a delivery fee from users.
