In order to enhance the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Uzbekistan and ensure the integration into the global financial system, pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Center” No.UP-48 dated March 30, 2026 (the “Decree No.UP-48”), a decision has been approved to establish the Tashkent International Financial Center (the “TIFC”) and to develop a draft Constitutional Law “On the Tashkent International Financial Center.”
The TIFC is envisaged as a special zone with its own jurisdiction, covering financial services, capital markets, investment activities, digital assets, as well as a dispute resolution system.
It is worth noting that one of the key objectives of the TIFC, among others, is the development of Islamic finance, financial technologies, the digital (crypto) asset market, as well as related professional services (including audit, consulting, legal services, compliance, and others).
