With the increasing control of foreign income and assets of Kazakhstan citizens and tax residents, as well as the new opportunities for Kazakhstan to obtain information from foreign counterparts, errors in declaring foreign income and assets are becoming more common.

Speakers:

Vladimir Fesenko – Partner, People Advisory Services, EY Kazakhstan

19 years of experience at EY. He also worked in EY offices in New York and Moscow. Vladimir actively participates in working groups on tax issues in Kazakhstan and has prepared a number of amendments to the Tax Code of Kazakhstan. He is also a regular speaker at various conferences and seminars.

He has extensive experience in tax audits, experience in working with private clients and international companies on complex issues of taxation of individuals and employers in various jurisdictions.

 

Leonid Shilin – Manager, Tax Services, EY Kazakhstan

From 2017 to November 2022, Leonid was an employee of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, where he served as head of the Department of International Automatic Exchange of Information and deputy head of the Department of International Cooperation and Currency Control. He was responsible for the development of international relations with foreign tax administrations as well as for the implementation of the international tax reform, Two-Pillar Solution. Previously, he was responsible for the administration of foreign e-services provider companies.
