 ansport Minister of Latvia\, and Her Excellency Dace Rutka\, the newly app
 ointed Ambassador of Latvia to Kazakhstan. This event\, which includes a d
 elegation of Latvian business leaders\, will take place in Almaty as part 
 of their participation in the 28th Kazakhstan International Transport and

 n\nAbout the Delegation\n\nThe visiting party comprises senior executives 
 from some of Latvia’s foremost transport and logistics organisations\, i
 ncluding chief executive officers of the nation’s principal ports – Ri
 ga\, Ventspils\, and Liepāja – as well as Latvian Railway and other pro
 fessional transport and logistics companies.\n\nKey areas of interest and 
 potential collaboration include:\n\n 	Port Infrastructure and Services: Th
 e ice-free Latvian ports provide consistent container and Ro-Ro services\,
  with a collective transshipment capability of 120 million tonnes. They ar
 e equipped to manage diverse cargo types such as containers\, bulk commodi
 ties\, and oversized items.\n 	Logistics Networks: These ports facilitate 
 comprehensive logistics networks that support trade between Kazakhstan and
  Latvia\, as well as Central\, Northern and Western Europe. Opportunities 
 are also available for the development of new logistics hubs.\n 	Cargo Han
 dling Capabilities: The delegation is particularly interested in handling 
 cargo from Kazakhstan\, such as coal\, grains\, oil products\, metals\, an
 d fertilizers. They are ready to provide customized solutions for any carg
 o type.\n 	Road and Rail Cooperation: There is mutual interest in explorin
 g fresh avenues for partnership between road transportation companies and 
 freight services. SJSC “Latvijas dzelzceļš” (Latvian Railway) is foc
 used on ensuring efficient and safe railway infrastructure management.\n 	
 E-Commerce and Transit: Latvia is positioned to act as a pivotal transit h
 ub for e-commerce businesses connecting Kazakhstan and other parts of Asia
  with Europe.\n 	Aviation and Investment: Discussions on commencing direct
  flights between Latvia and Kazakhstan are welcomed by the delegation. Add
 itionally\, Riga Airport is also open to investment from Kazakhstan for th
 e development of new logistics hubs.\n\nMeeting Agenda\n\n 	Introduction o
 f the Delegation: Brief presentations by key delegates.\n 	Discussion on 
 “Kazakhstan – Latvia: Prospects for Cooperation in Transport and Logis
 tics.”\n 	Networking and Q&amp\;A Session during a breakfast gathering t

 ffers valuable insights into how Latvia’s strategic location can serve a
