DESCRIPTION:1/ AGRINFO webinar on packaging (New EU rules on bisphenol A an
 d PFAS)\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBisphenol A (BPA) is widely used in varnishes and co
 atings for food packaging but can migrate into food. From July 2026\, its
  use will not be authorised in specific food contact materials (adhesives\
 ; rubbers\; ion-exchange resins\; plastics\; printing inks\; silicones\; v
 arnishes and coatings)\, with some exceptions (Regulation 2024/3190).\n\n
 PFAS are persistent chemicals that represent environmental and health haza
 rds. From August 2026\, strict restrictions will apply to food contact pa
 ckaging (Regulation 2025/40).\n\nTo sell packaged food in the EU\, busine
 sses must ensure compliance with these requirements via a declaration of 
 conformity. This document is initially drafted by the packaging manufactur
 er and then shared across the supply chain and updated if needed.\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\nThis webinar will explain the new rules set by the European Union (E
 U) on BPA (bisphenol A) and PFAS\, two substances of concern in food pa
 ckaging. It will discuss the potential challenges and strategies that agri
 -food operators can adopt to ensure compliance with these requirements tha
 t will apply from mid-2026.\n\nThis webinar will be offered in three sessi
 ons (90 minutes each) to accommodate different time zones and language nee
 ds. Each session will feature the same content with simultaneous interpret
 ation from English into French\, Spanish and Portuguese for some sessions.
