Asian Development Bank

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), headquartered in Manila, Philippines, is a multilateral development finance institution owned by 67 members.
Since joining ADB in 1994, Kazakhstan has received over $5 billion in sovereign loans, nonsovereign loans, and guarantees in agriculture, education, finance, transport, water supply and sanitation, and irrigation sectors. ADB’s current public sector operations focus on transport sector and small and medium enterprises development. Since 2006, ADB has approved about $600 million in financing for ten private sector projects in Kazakhstan in finance, agribusiness, and energy efficiency.
