Audris Barcevicius joined Siemens in 1995 as a marketing director for Siemens office in Lithuania. Prior to coming to Kazakhstan, Audris served as the general director of Siemens Osakeyhtio Lithuanian Branch and a Member of the Board responsible for business in The Baltic States. He is now the CEO of Siemens in Central Asia. Audris holds an Executive MBA degree from Baltic Sea MBA Academy in Helsinki. He also completed Siemens and Duke University Advanced Management Training Programme (S3).


Mark joined Deloitte Caspian in April 2007, relocating from Edinburgh, Scotland, where he participated in the IFRS conversion and demutualisation of Standard Life PLC, which now lists on the FTSE 100. Prior to this, Mark worked with another Big Four firm for over five years in both, the UK and the Cayman Islands. Prior to becoming Deloitte Caspian managing partner in June 2012, Mark was the head of the region’s Financial Services audit industry, actively engaged in the audit of some of Kazakhstan’s largest financial institutions.

Victoria is a partner in Dentons’ Almaty office with over 18 years 'experience and advises clients on a wide variety of Kazakhstan and international law issues, including energy, corporate, subsurface use, property and litigation matters.  Victoria has advised clients on a number of pipeline matters.  She is involved in the acquisition of assets and other interests in companies in the oil and gas, telecommunications and construction sectors. Victoria has advised on a number of major mergers and acquisitions. She has a LLM degree from Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA.  Victoria is a member of the AIPN, KPLA and Kazakhstan Bar.


Oleg Khanin worked as deputy chairman of the Management Board for Business Development since 2009. Mr. Khanin has been working in the Company since 1998. During this time he held the positions of assistant chairman of the Management Board for Insurance Affairs, auditor, chief underwriter of the Underwriting and Surveyors Department, vice president for insurance, deputy chairman of the Management Board for Financial Affairs. Mr. Khanin’s career began in 1998 in the Almaly District Tax Committee of Almaty City. In 2013, London Insurance Institute (CII) certified him for the industry accomplishments. In 2013, he was awarded with the medal "Honored financier" for his contribution to the country's financial sector. Kazakhstan Association of Financiers awarded Mr Khanin with the order of "The best financier" in 2014.

Ibrahim Canliel works for Air Astana as Senior Vice President Commercial Group and has been with the company since its early stages in 2003.  He started his career initially in tourism in Turkey during the 90s until he joined aviation with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in 1998; briefly in the Gulf and consequently in Kazakhstan as the commercial manager for Central Asia. He has been in Kazakhstan for the past 17 years managing business units successfully during both upturns and downturns. Ibrahim was a Eurobak board member during the earlier days from 2005 to 2007. He studied Economics at the Marmara University and did his MBA at the Bosphorus University, both in Istanbul. He speaks 5 languages. Ibrahim is married and has two twin daughters.


Erlan supervises a variety of EY projects in the region, most of which are aimed at public sector reforms, including development of infrastructure, cleantech, regional integration, tax and customs administration and many others. Currently Erlan co-chairs the FIC Investment Policy working group, and during 2012 – 2013 he co-chaired the FIC Investment Image Enhancement working group. Erlan is committed to the enhancement of investment environment through his personal engagement in business and professional associations and EY corporate projects. He is a regular speaker at various conferences/ roundtables on the subject of Kazakhstan’s investment attractiveness. Erlan is a part of EY Emerging Markets global network.

Promoted in 2010 to head all hotel operations and service delivery encompassing 277 luxury guest rooms, multiple restaurants and meeting rooms, and extensive recreational/outdoor facilities. Hold bottom line accountability for administration and performance of core departments and functions spanning food and beverage, human resources, sales and marketing, budgeting, forecasting, accounts receivable/payable, cost and inventory control, procurement, and events. Supervise, train, and evaluate 380+ full time and seasonal employees. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and short-/long-term goals, with focus on generating new revenue sources, reducing operating expenses, and elevating quality of services, staff morale, and guest satisfaction. Sustain continual involvement through weekly and monthly management, budget, revenue, and sales meetings. Maintain compliance with InterContinental brand standards, local laws/regulations, and industry best practices for hotel safety and security, customer service, and food/ beverage quality and sanitation.

Sergey NAZARCHUK, 47, originally from Altay region, Russia, graduated from Altay State Technical University with a Master’s degree in Engineering.  Sergey has joined Pernod Ricard Group in 2004 as a logistic manager for Russia, and has taken several positions there before was appointed operations director for Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe in 2010.  In 2014 he became a managing director of Pernod Ricard Kazakhstan.  Prior to joining Pernod Ricard, he has worked in different State organizations and international companies in Russia mostly in the field of industrial and commercial project management.

Anton Peshkov was appointed General Director of LLP "Tikkurila" in Kazakhstan and the regional director of Tikkurila in Central Asia, October 1, 2013. Earlier this position was occupied Utkur Makhmutov appointed in April of 2013. 

Anton Peshkov graduated of the Economics Faculty of Moscow State University. During the 14-year career, he has held the positions of Sales Director, Commercial Director, Managing Director in companies such as Hortex, Bunge, Nutricia, Wimm-Bill-Dann, Fidea Group.

Now A. Peshkov works with "Tikkurila" LLP and is responsible for the administrative and functional management. 


Ambassador Traian Laurenţiu Hristea is a Romanian diplomat, who has been seconded to the European External Action Service. Through his successive assignments, Mr Hristea served in the capacity of the director of Directorate Enlarged Europe and Republic of Moldova (CIS countries), Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Ukraine, the director of the Directorate for Prognosis and Policy Planning at the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs etc. Before arriving to Kazakhstan, he served as the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia in 2011 – 2015. Ambassador Hristea has the PhD in international relations, OVIDIUS University, Romania. He speaks fluently English, Russian, French, Mongolian and Italian.

Julie Kussidi

Julie started her career working for a European company. She has worked in various sectors including the quality and verification control programme with the Customs Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the oil & gas industry during times of massive privatization in Kazakhstan, and banking. As of November 1999, she has been in charge of the Secretariat Office of the European Business Association of Kazakhstan, working closely with the government of Kazakhstan. In this role with EUROBAK, she also works with European companies present and those planning to do business and invest in Kazakhstan. Her role also includes working with embassies represented in Kazakhstan as well as Kazakhstan embassies in other countries and the Delegation of the European Commission in Kazakhstan. She also works with various charity and business associations and chambers of commerce in Kazakhstan and worldwide.
